"Don't you think it's kind of funny, don't you think its kind of sad, the dreams in which i'm dying are the best I've ever had..."

re: Name that lyric...
"mad world"
tears for fears
all around me are familiar faces
worn out places, worn out faces
bright and early for their daily races
going nowhere, going nowhere
their tears are filling up their glasses
no expression, no expression
hide my head i want to drown my sorrow
no tomorrow, no tomorrow
and i find it kind of funny
i find it kind of sad
the dreams in which i'm dying
are the best i've ever had
i find it hard to tell you
'cause i find it hard to take
when people run in circles
it's a very very
mad world
mad world
mad world
mad world
children waiting for the day they feel good
happy birthday, happy birthday
made to feel the way that every child should
sit and listen, sit and listen
went to school and i was very nervous
no one knew me, no one knew me
hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
look right through me, look right through me
and i find it kind of funny
i find it kind of sad
the dreams in which i'm dying
are the best i've ever had
i find it hard to tell you
'cause i find it hard to take
when people run in circles
it's a very very
mad world
mad world
mad world
mad world
and i find it kind of funny
i find it kind of sad
the dreams in which i'm dying
are the best i've ever had
i find it hard to tell you
'cause i find it hard to take
when people run in circles
it's a very very
mad world
mad world
enlarged in your world
mad world

re: Name that lyric...
CORRECT - well, kind of but you couldn't know that I was after the Gary Jules cover (which is excellent and from the overly strange film "Donnie Darko")

re: Name that lyric...
This song rocks! I just heard it on the radio...
I think it was the cover by Gary Jules, but I haven't found it on the web to compare to the Tears for Fears clip I already found.
but here's the clip, if you're interested in listening to it:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005NERW/qid=1073688162/sr=8-1/ref=__1/102-1551104-6764109?v=glance&s=music
Just scroll to the list on the album, and it's available to listen in three different formats.
